1150 years since the arrival of St. Cyril and Methodius to Great Moravia

About project

This year, the Czech and Slovak nations reminds 1150th anniversary of the arrival of St. Cyril and Methodius to Great Moravia. Learning brothers came to us in 863 from a distant sun-drenched Constantinople and that, simply put, educate our Slavic nation and created for him the first Slavic Church font and language - Old Church Slavonic. Slavs inhabiting the Great Moravia is adopted as their teacher and together they set off on a long journey to wisdom. They have learned to read and write, thanks to them for the first time be able to understand the words of worship and come to the spiritual realization, thanks to them from our ancestors became educated and rational people. It is more than obvious that St. Cyril and Methodius significantly enrolled in Czech history and this year we are delighted to not only celebrate the anniversary of their arrival in Great Moravia, but also through the many activities we get something out of their legacy, we are able to inspire him and through their topicality is also to bring to life.
It is a major international event and on this occasion we decided to commemorate this anniversary special broadcast under the call sign OL863CM, OL2013CM and OL1150CM. At the same time we decided to give amateur diploma, which is called 1150 years since the arrival of Saints Cyril and Methodius to Great Moravia.

On this website you will learn not only the conditions diploma itself, but a lot of information about where Cyril and Methodius in Moravian Slovakia worked.

I believe that we hear on the bands and that our activity will be sufficient and Conditions diploma meets the large amount of radio amateurs not only from Bohemia and Europe but also from overseas.
